Information and Creative Technology Level 2

What does the qualification cover?

You will learn the use of technical systems in commerce, alongside the use of social media, the skills associated with graphics and audio and digital animation.

You will find out how industry uses applications as well as the fundamentals of software used in audio products and be able to enhance your skills of web site design and critically evaluate your own work throughout your course.

You will also create a digital portfolio to showcase your work. You will also research the work and skills associated with market leaders in graphics and animation techniques such as Pixar and Aardman, enabling you to see future career options

Who is it suitable for?

For those who are interested in how web sites work or how e-mails get to your phone or lap-top or PC? This course will enable you to build on existing IT skills, but enable you to research the on-line world and find out how it works and create a digital portfolio.

What are the entry requirements?

You will normally need to have GCSEs mainly grade D, or to have successfully completed a relevant Level 1 qualification at Merit or above

How is it assessed?

This will be continuously assessed throughout your course; some units studied will require onscreen externally assessed tests and project work.
