Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 3

What does the qualification cover?

This qualification develops the knowledge needed when working unsupervised with adults in the social care sector. It covers the role of the social care worker, safeguarding, communication, diversity, equality and inclusion, and personal development.

It is a must have for anyone taking the adult Health and Social Care Apprenticeship at Level 3.

Who is it suitable for?

Anyone who wants to work in adult health and social care.

What are the entry requirements?

You should be at least 16 years old. CACHE does not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.

How many credits are required to complete it?

The Certificate requires 21 credits.

How is it assessed?

It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a portfolio of evidence.

Do you need to be working to take the qualification?

No, this is a knowledge only qualification.
